DAY 01 – ARRIVAL BIA AIRPORT/PINNAWELA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE/SPICE GARDENS/KANDY HILLSTATION/THE TEMPLE OF THE SACRED TOOTH RELIC/CULTURAL DANCE PROGRAM
- You are met with traditional Sri Lankan hospitality at the airport, and then transported in your own private air-conditioned vehicle by our courteous English speaking Chauffeur-guide to Kandy. Along the way you could visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, where baby elephants are cared by man. Be sure to watch the bathing session, which are truly a sight to see. Following this you will drive to Kandy, the centre of traditional Sri Lankan culture, and home to the Kings of old, en route you will visit an aromatic Spice Garden. Following this, you will check in at your hotel. In the evening, you will visit the beautiful Dalada Maligawa, “The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha”, following which; you will really enjoy a Cultural Dance Program.
DAY 02 – KANDY CITY TOUR/HANUMAN TEMPLE/RAMBODA WATER FALLS/TEA PLANTATIONS/TEA FACTORY/NUWARA ELIYA HILL COUNTRY/NUWARA ELIYA CITY TOUR/SITA AMMAN TEMPLE/GREGORY LAKE
- After breakfast, you will enjoy a City Tour of Kandy, which includes the Upper & Lower Lake Drives, a Gem Museum, and the famous Kandy Market, amongst other very interesting sights. Following this a spectacular drive around the mountains, viewing endless tea plantations and majestic waterfalls, brings you to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s “Little England” where time seems to have stood still since the days of the British occupation. On the way to Nuwara Eliya you will stop at the Ramboda Water Falls, visit the Hanuman Temple and a typical Tea Factory & enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea. In the evening you will enjoy a City Tour of Nuwara Eliya, thereafter visit Sita Amman Temple and you could stroll along the Gregory Lake. There’s plenty to keep everyone occupied at Gregory Lake. Attractions include swan-shaped pedals and speedboat rides; Jet Ski and kayak rentals; cycle paths, pony rides, and a mini fairground. If you’re just out to relax, however, come for the walking trails, picnic tables, cafés, and food stands selling snacks.
DAY 03 – NUWARA ELIYA HILL COUNTRY/KITULGALA WHITE WATER RAFTING/BENTOTA BEACH
- After breakfast, a wonderful drive down the mountains viewing majestic waterfalls brings you to Kitulgala, where the classic movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed, over the raging river. You can try some thrilling White-water Rafting, or simply enjoy the scenery over a cup of tea or lunch. Following this you will drive to Bentota and check-in to your hotel.
DAY 04 – BENTOTA WATER SPORTS/MADU GANGA RIVER BOAT SAFARI/TURTLE HATCHERY/COLOMBO CITY/COLOMBO CITY TOUR/ COLOMBO NIGHT LIFE
- Bentota offers water sports possibilities nowhere else to be found. Apart from swimming, body-surfing or diving in the sea, you can jet-ski, windsurf, parasail or enjoy a river safari on the river and lagoon. Following this, you will visit a Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda. Following this, you will drive to Colombo, where you will check-in to your hotel in Colombo. This is an ideal place to stay in Colombo City, as everything is very nearby. In the evening you will enjoy an interesting City Tour of Colombo which includes important residential and commercial districts, Fort, Pettah Market, Independence Square, Galle Face, shopping centers, where elaborate and beautiful carvings add to the mystical ambience of being in this exotic land and on you own you could explore the night life on offer in Colombo visiting casinos, night clubs, pubs & bars.
DAY 05 – LAST DAY/AIRPORT
The day to relax and perhaps do some last-minute souvenir shopping, as well as to bid goodbye to beautiful & exotic Sri Lanka, and its wonderful people, scenery, and mystical ambience. Today you will be accompanied to the airport in time to board your flight back home.
