Mount Fuji – 5th Station

The 5th Station of Mount Fuji, located at an altitude of 2,305 meters (7,562 feet), is one of the most popular starting points for climbers and a must-visit for those looking to experience the beauty of Japan’s iconic mountain. Situated on the Yoshida Trail, this station is accessible by car or bus during the climbing season (from July to September), offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

At the 5th Station, visitors can enjoy breathtaking vistas of Fuji’s slopes, often shrouded in mist, as well as panoramic views of the surrounding Yamanashi Prefecture and Lake Kawaguchi. There are several shops, restaurants, and temples, including the Kawaguchiko Shrine, where you can stop for a moment of reflection before continuing your journey up the mountain.
